AMautoparts = SCAM!
Do Not Buy Engines From Them!
Warning to Consumers:
I purchased an engine from AM Auto Parts and experienced the following issues:
Defective Engine: The engine had bad compression, faulty valves, and a slipping timing chain upon inspection. Despite these significant defects, AM Auto Parts requires the engine to be installed before they will cover return shipping costs under their so-called warranty.
Impractical Return Policy: The engine was shipped from Minneapolis to me for $400, but AM Auto Parts demands I ship it back to Florida at a cost of $1500. This makes returning the engine financially impractical, effectively trapping customers with defective products.
Useless Warranty: Their warranty terms are designed to avoid responsibility. They insist on installation, even if the engine is clearly defective, to avoid paying for return shipping.
My Experience:
Paid $1500 for the engine.
Discovered severe defects upon arrival.
AM Auto Parts refused to cover return shipping.
Total loss: $1500 if I return it, while they make $1000 if I don’t, effectively making this a scam.
Consumer Alert:
Do not fall victim to AM Auto Parts’ deceptive practices. Their warranty is designed to be unusable, and their return policy exploits customers financially.
